And, They’re Off!

It’s official…
Mr. Knight and I are getting married!
Yes… I know it is obvious, but really it hadn’t hit Mr. Knight and I till we sent out our invitations this week. We worked on our invitations over the course of two months, and didn’t once think about how sending them out (finally) would make us feel. I have to say that the feedback we have been receiving on our invitations have made all those weekends of hard work worth it. Gator Momma got her and Gator Dad‘s invitation and called me immediately telling me how beautiful, fun and springy they are (which is exactly what we were going for). Seminole Bridesmaid called me and said she didn’t even want to send in her RSVP card (she loved it that much), she wanted to keep everything, even our envelope! Gator Momma has been so kind to forward e-mails from her friends who have received the invitations, and loved them!
So… why aren’t I showing you, my lovely-adorable Gator Bride readers, our invitations? As soon as our family in Newfoundland (yes people live there) receive their invites, we will know that everyone has gotten them, and the reveal (and price recap) will begin! Plus, Mr. Knight, being the tech-savvy geek he is, videotaped the whole assembly process and is making it into a fun little video (if you recall, he made our cute Christmas video). Till the big reveal (sometime next week), here is a sneak peek!
Our sweet little labor of love all nestled in their box, ready to be mailed out. I have to say, I almost shed a tear sending these babies out… almost.
As you can see, we chose to use the sporty Vancouver Olympics 2010 stamp (along with the Ram Stamp) for our invitations. It was the best stamp match we could make, and custom Zazzle stamps where out of the question (and budget!). I think they make a nice pairing with our stardream gold envelopes and labels I designed (with printing help by Mr. Knight).
This weekend will be extremely eventful (and the first wedding event weekend for Mr. Knight and I, since our engagement party, 2 years ago). I will be having a Girls Night Out, followed by a bridal shower (hosted by Mama Knight), and Mr. Knight will be having a Paintball party (or showdown) with his guys. Stay tuned for tons of fun recaps by Mr. Knight and I!
Whew, I get excited just thinking about all the fun new posts next week.
{heart}
Miss Gator
